Ramadan 2024: Together We Fed Over 500 Families
Published by Compassion Fund • Halalan Tayyiban Holding, New York
Alhamdulillah. This Ramadan, thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our donors, the Compassion Fund distributed hot iftar meals and food parcels to over 500 families across 12 communities in New York City, the Bronx, and the wider tri-state area.
From single-parent households to elderly residents living alone, our volunteers worked tirelessly — seven days a week throughout the holy month — to ensure that no one in our community went hungry at iftar.
By the Numbers
- 12,400 meals served
- 512 families reached across New York City and surrounding areas
- 8 mosques partnered including in the Bronx and Queens
- 74 volunteers mobilised
“Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without any reduction in his reward.” (Tirmidhi)
