Build a Legacy That Lasts Forever
Waqf is the most powerful form of Sadaqah Jariyah in Islam — a gift that continues giving long after you are gone. Establish your endowment today and earn rewards that never end.
“When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity), knowledge that is benefited from, or a righteous child who prays for them.”— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ | Sahih Muslim
What Is Waqf?
Waqf (also spelled Awqaf, plural Awqaf) is an Islamic endowment — the permanent dedication of an asset for religious, educational, social, or charitable purposes. Once established, the Waqf asset is held in perpetuity and its benefits continue to serve the community indefinitely.
Historically, Waqf funded the great universities, hospitals, mosques, and public infrastructure of the Islamic world. The University of Al-Azhar in Egypt, the Al-Qarawiyyin in Morocco, and countless institutions across the globe were built and sustained through Waqf endowments.
Today, Compassion Fund makes it easy for ordinary Muslims to establish a Waqf — whether through a cash donation that funds a specific project, or through a formal deed that dedicates an ongoing income stream to perpetual charitable work.
