From the Bronx to the World
The Compassion Fund was founded by Sheikh Musa Drammeh, Co-founder and Chair of Halalan Tayyiban Holding and a prominent Muslim leader in the Bronx, New York.
Driven by a deep commitment to Islamic principles of justice, generosity, and brotherhood, Sheikh Drammeh established the Compassion Fund with a clear dual mission: to uplift halal entrepreneurs striving to build ethical, faith-compliant businesses — and to extend a hand of mercy to vulnerable people facing poverty, food insecurity, and hardship.
What began as a community-rooted initiative in New York has grown into a global programme reaching the Americas, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and other parts of the globe — united by the Quranic call to spend in the way of Allah for the benefit of all humanity.

Sheikh Musa Drammeh
Co-founder & Chair, Halalan Tayyiban Holding • Muslim Community Leader, Bronx, New YorkSheikh Musa Drammeh is a respected Islamic scholar and community leader whose life work is rooted in the Prophetic tradition of caring for others. As Co-founder and Chair of Halalan Tayyiban Holding, he has championed halal-compliant commerce and ethical entrepreneurship for Muslim communities across multiple continents. His founding of the Compassion Fund reflects his conviction that sustainable charity must empower people — not merely relieve them — equipping families, students, and business owners with the tools they need to thrive in dignity and self-sufficiency.
