Compassion Fund Startup Support

Empowering Muslim Entrepreneurs

We believe strong businesses build strong communities. Our Startup Support programme provides halal microfinance, mentorship, and business training for Muslim entrepreneurs who deserve a fair chance.

“Allah has permitted trade and forbidden interest.”Holy Quran 2:275

About the Programme

Muslim entrepreneurs face a unique challenge: the global financial system relies heavily on interest-based lending — which is prohibited in Islam. This creates a significant barrier to entry for those who wish to grow businesses while maintaining their faith.

Compassion Fund’s Startup Support programme bridges this gap through interest-free microfinance (Qard al-Hasan), business mentorship from experienced Muslim entrepreneurs, skills training workshops, and access to a halal business network across the United States and beyond.

Since 2019, we have supported over 340 businesses across 12 industries — from halal food production and modest fashion to technology, healthcare, and Islamic finance.
